Mr. Jacobs showed on the map that one will go over the wetland and another will go over the <br />water. <br /> <br />Mr. Jacobs indicated there will be standard lighting in the park. <br /> <br />Mr. Jacobs stated they have made a commitment to review the pavilion with staff before it is <br />done. He thought this part will be before the Commission at their next meeting for further <br />discussion and detail review. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cook asked if they had anything lined up for naming the parks. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood stated they have had some discussion regarding what to do <br />with naming parks and he thought they should look at the League of MN Cities for ideas on <br />naming the parks. <br /> <br />Councihnember Elvig wondered if they should get resident involvement for names. <br /> <br />Councihnember Jeffrey's stated a water feature attracts people. <br /> <br />Case #2: Review Five Year CIP for Parks <br /> <br />Civil Engineer II Linton stated the City has established a Capital Improvement Program (CIP) <br />that looks at proposed expenditures for future improvements. The projects to be undertaken in <br />the next 5 years are reviewed annually and the list is updated. Additional projects may appear on <br />the list without being assigned to a year based on projected need. The current cn~ is attached for <br />review. <br /> <br />Items of note on the list are the following projects that are nearing completion or are anticipated <br />to be complete before the end of the 2005 construction season: <br /> <br />Project # Name <br /> <br />04-Park-001 <br />04-Park-005 <br />04-Park-012 <br />04-Park-013 <br /> <br />Alpine Park Discovery Garden <br />Elmcrest Park Trail along Hwy 47 <br />Titterud Park Play Equipment <br />Trail Projects <br /> <br />Staff recommends reviewing the current projects and schedule and updating them based on <br />projected growth and changes in the City. <br /> <br />Chairperson Johns thought over the next few months the Commission would be discussing these <br />items and the priorities for 2005 were pretty well set. <br /> <br />Councihnember Elvig stated he has received resident inquires because there is not a trail from <br />Alpine to Central Park.
