Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood stated he has received a few requests and thought it would <br />be a minor cost to install and could be considered by the Park Commission for a park in the City. <br /> <br />Councihnember Jeffrey stated he has received requests and thought this should be considered as <br />an addition to the parks. <br /> <br />Commissioner Shryock stated in reading the justification explanation on most of the items in the <br />CIP, it seems like some have been written awhile ago and wondered if they needed to be updated <br />because they have received funding on some of these. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood stated these will be updated before they go to City Council <br />for approval. <br /> <br />Commissioner Shryock asked where they were at in regards to the play equipment in Titturud <br />Park and were they keeping some of the things and how they were getting rid of the equipment. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood noted the play equipment will be available to the residents <br />with a hold harmless clause and will bring in a little revenue to the Commission. He thought <br />they needed to finish Alpine Park before they proceeded to Titterud Park. They also want to <br />integrate the landscape with the climbing rocks. <br /> <br />Commissioner Shryock asked how far out this will be. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood thought this could be expanded upon in the winter months. <br />He was not sure when it would get started and thought they could discuss it in earnest this <br />summer. <br /> <br />Commissioner Pontius wondered why there was a great deal of money being spent in 2005 and <br />2006 and only one project in 2007. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood thought the CIP was looked at as a projected need. <br /> <br />Chairperson Johns stated throughout the year they will also discuss other projects for future years <br />and add to the list. <br /> <br />Commissioner LaMere stated at one point they discussed a golf course south of Alpine, he <br />wondered if this was cut because of funding. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood stated there was discussion with the private golf courses <br />and at this point they are not doing well so staff did not think a public course would be advised at <br />this time. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cook stated if they did go with a course, they should get children involved.
