· Three firefighters will attend the Fire Department Instructors Conference April 8th -13th. <br /> <br />ALARMS SOG <br /> <br />· A meeting will be scheduled for the officers to discuss Alarms SOG. <br /> <br />I'UBLIC/PRIVATE ROADS <br /> <br />There are a number of requests for Townhome developments, which private roads are part of <br />the plat. Discussion has taken place regarding the Department's concern of access to all <br />buildings with their vehicles using the private roads. One remedy being considered is to <br />make the setbacks for private roads the same as public roads. <br /> <br />· Thc other issue with public vs. private roads is the dimension of the perpendicular turns in <br /> the road. <br /> <br />IS() PROCESS <br /> <br />· The ISO records show the last review was done in 1992. <br /> <br />· A formal request for a review needs to be submitted. The request should include the changes <br /> and additions since 1992. <br /> <br />FEMA GRANT UPDATE <br /> <br />Thcrc are 789 fire departments in the State of Minnesota, 38 of them received a FEMA grant <br />last year. Officer Streich reviewed what has been purchased and what is yet to be purchased <br />with this grant. There is a balance of approximately $66,000, which will be used to purchase <br />NFP Library, videos, hearing impaired equipment and finance the lock box program. <br /> <br />Officer Streich would like input as to what the Department should request on this year's <br />FEMA grant application. This information should be received by February 28th SO he can <br />apply on their website March 1st. <br /> <br />· Ideas include SCBA, small personal equipment and confined space equipment. <br /> <br />ANOKA COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION COUNCIL <br /> <br />· Thc Fire Department will obtain four decontamination suits (two from the Police <br /> Department). <br /> <br />Some of the departments will have the detection equipment and mutual aid will be given if <br />the equipment is needed.
