Jon McLaughlin and Chris Weiss <br /> <br />Chief Kapler stated he went to the Metro Chiefs meeting on Monday. They talked <br />about 800 Mega Hertz System. Hennepin County is going after this - Anoka County <br />is doing little. The question came up whether or not all the present radios would be <br />compatible. The answer was not unless they are digital compatible. We need to <br />make sure that they can be switched over. This is handheld radios only. <br /> <br />Chief Kapler reviewed the incident report. <br /> <br />Lieutenant #2 Weiss gave the medical report. <br /> <br />Changed defibrillator batteries <br /> <br />Ordered new air split - Mr. Weiss suggested if we use them -just throw them away - <br />they are only $7 <br /> <br />Ordered Finex - we are low <br /> <br />Ordered new bum stuff to put in all duty officer's bags. It's supposed to be state-of- <br />the-art - no lanacaine in it. <br /> <br />SCBA - ordered more cleaner for masks <br /> <br />Discussion on PALS - Consensus was to equip Engine #1 with PALS but hold off rest <br />of equipment to see what OSHA and NFPA intends to change. <br /> <br />Mir. Weiss stated he would also like the flow tests for masks. It was suggested he call <br />Roger to find out about a rental unit for testing exhalation valves. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued relating to station maintenance. Chief Kapler pointed out that a new <br />list was created.
