5'TA TION CLEANUP

· New groups have been formed for station cleaning. Each member will be responsible for
cleaning three times a year.

Team two will be doing the cleaning for October.

SAFETY CONCERNS

· It was discussed if safety cones should be used at call scenes. There could be some benefit,
however, fire fighters might get too reliant on the cones.

· Fluorescent vests could be used for evening calls.

ROAD CLOSURE

County Road #7 bridge at the Rum River has been closed until October 12, 1998. It is
important to remember this when mutual aide is being considered. Both for going to their
aide (using the correct road) and considering who to call for aide. It was suggested it be
noted on the map in the fire office.

CAPITAL ISSUES

· 100' roll of hose will be ordered. It will be a different color to stand out as the 100' hose.

· One preemption emitter can be ordered. One will be ordered that the Department can install.
There is information and a video in the fire office.

· The Department will purchase two nozzles and is looking at slow pressure high gallon
nozzles.

Attached to the agenda is a copy of a new incident report and a medical information form to be
used on calls. Attach the new incident report to the front of the current form. This will be more
paper work for the Duty Officer, however, it will help with questions asked regarding incidents
years down the road.

Also attached to the agenda is the 1999 pay increase schedule.

Officer applications for #1 positions will be opened this year.

FIRE DEPARTMENT/SEPTEMBER 9, 1998
