MAJOR MAINTENANCE <br /> <br />Bob Simpson reviewed the major maintenance. <br /> <br />· Flat tire on Engine Two has been fixed. <br /> <br />· Strobes on Engine Two are working. <br /> <br />· Halyard on ladder was replaced on Engine One. <br /> <br /> The 02 sensor was replaced on the gas sniffer. <br /> <br />· City Wide Door came out and gave an estimate of $1800 for door repairs, transmitters, <br /> receivers and safety switches with infra red eyes. Bob will get a second estimate. <br /> <br />· Letter and number stamps were purchased for labeling hoses. Discussion ensued to the <br /> purchase of new hose and where it should be located. It was decided to purchase two short <br /> section red hoses. <br /> <br />· Cold weather procedures should be started. <br /> <br />RADIOS/PAGERS/TURNOUT GEAR <br /> <br />Jim Sharp reviewed equipment. <br /> <br />· Four new pagers were sent in for repair, making it a total of six. Jim will check on other <br /> places to send the pagers. <br /> <br />· Four sets of turnout gear were replaced. <br /> <br />· Fire fighters Abbott and Schiferli will have their pictures up soon. <br /> <br />· There are eight pairs of choppers in the green canvass bag. <br /> <br />· A radio channel list will be added to the hand held. <br /> <br />INCIDENT REPORT <br /> <br />Jon McLaughlin reviewed the incident report. <br /> <br /> in October there were thirty calls, of which, eleven were rescue and nineteen were fire calls. <br /> Total calls for the year were two hundred ninety-seven, of which, eighty-two were rescue and <br /> two hundred fifteen were fire. <br /> <br /> FIRE DEPARTMENT OFFICERS/NOVEMBER 3, 1998 <br /> Page 2 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
