Cotmcilmcmbcr introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #05-09-xx <br /> <br />I/ESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF NEW PARK <br /> SHELTER AT CENTRAL PARK <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, thc Ramsey Lions Club has been working with the City regarding the <br />replacement of thc Park Shelter at Central Park and has donated $185,000.00 towards the cost of <br />thc pr()jcct; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Hakanson Anderson & Associates donated the civil engineering work <br />required for thc project and Ramsey Lions member A1 Humer and Adkins Association Inc. <br />architects donated the schematic design work for the project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Council authorized the plans, specifications and bidding for the project at <br />lheir regular meeting of August 9th and the use of Charitable Gambling Funds to fund the <br />additional costs associated with the project above the $185,000.00 donation by the Ramsey <br />l,ions; and <br /> <br /> WHEP, EAS, six scaled bids were received and opened at City Hall on Thursday, <br />September 8th, 2005. <br /> <br />NOW TIIEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />'l'hat thc City Council of the City of Ramsey authorizes a contract for construction of the <br />new Park Shelter at Central Park with in the amount of <br />$ <br /> <br />'l'be motion Cot tile adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and lilt following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and thc [bllowing abstained: <br /> <br />and the tbllowing were absent: <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this thc 13th day of September 2005. <br /> <br /> <br />
