Ramscy, MN 55303 Dear Chris: As you arc aware, Ace Solid Waste has been the City's Curbside Recycling Contractor for over 10 years. Wc truly appreciate your support and look forward to many more years of service. The purpose of this letter is to ask the City to consider renewing our contract for service. Our service record on the streets of Ramsey and commitment to your community is without match. Our tenure in Ramsey combined with low employee turnover in our organization make our people the best choice I'or you. We know Ramsey and We Care. Sometimes, with long-term contractors, the contractor "assumes" the business will continue forever. result is acceptable service but no innovation or improvement, just simple compliance with contract lerms. At ACE we do not make that assumption. The l)uring the last contract term, without being asked, ACE implemented curbside delivery of recycle bins to residents. Previously, new residents we asked to come to City Hall for their bin. The result was less participation in program. We worked closely with you on the logistics of program including a monthly "bins delivered" report to support your education efforts. This new service was done at no additional cost. For the upcoming contract, we are excited to provide the latest in curbside recycling technology - single stream recycling. This program has the potential to increase recycling by up to 30%. The attached document further explains the program. ()bviously, the opportunity to renew and continue to service the City of Ramsey is a matter of pride to us. thc City is willing to consider a contract renewal, we look forward to negotiating the details.
