She stated she is a former small business owner who <br /> operated out of her home and it would have been really distressing to her to have neighbors <br /> micromanaging her. She <br /> stated that if the permit goes through, they will have to find a way to be neighbors to each other <br /> and not take this out of proportion. She supports this business and noted given the applicant's <br /> background, he would be able to secure his firearms. She stated there is nothing preventing him <br /> from being a gun collector and owning a massive amount of firearms and ammunitions. He stated there are <br /> people who walk their dogs daily and there are small children in the neighborhood. He stated there <br /> has been vandalism of cars in their yards. He asked if a music teacher is being compared with a <br /> gun shop. <br /> Councilmember Heineman replied he is comparing the two in regard to the rules for a small <br /> business, which is the same.
