Case #6: Request for Preliminary Plat and Preliminary Site Plan Review for Summerset Meadows Case of Pulte Homes Motion by Councilmember Pearson, seconded by Councilmember Cook, to adopt Resolution #05-10-360 granting the preliminary plat and preliminary site plan of Summerset Meadows 1) ('ompliancc with City Staff Review Letter dated September 30, 2005, Revised October 2 I, 2005. 2) ~l'l~c property proposed to be developed residentially being rezoned to Pla~ed Unit I)cvclopment. B) Thc Developer providing the 300-foot wide transpo~ation co~idor as shown on the preliminary plat. 4) i~xpanding the right-of-way of Llama Street form 80 feet to 100 feet in that potion of l~lama Street that lies south of the BuYer Lake Boulevard extension. 5) 'l'hc Applicant providing two accesses onto BuYer Lake Boulevard for the units located in Block 14 of the proposed subdivision. G) 'l'hc Applicant and the City Staff work towards providing agreeable transitioning t~ough thc use of landscaping and as directed by the City Co~cil. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Voting No: None. (:ase/47: Introduce Ordinance to Amend Section 9.11 (Performance Standards) of City Code; Case of City of Ramsey (iommunity Development Director Trudgeon explained earlier this year, the City received a btfilding permit application for an exterior solid fuel-fired heating device. During the review process of this application, staff realized there are no standards or regulations for these appliances in City Code. Due to their potential to create a nuisance for neighboring properties, s~at't' hz~s drafted an ordinance to establish some basic regulations for these devices. He advised tl~c proposed ordinance would establish minimum standards for exterior solid fuel-fired heating devices including both a minimum setback from property lines and installation requirements. ~1 hcsc requirements aim to minimize the potential nuisances created by these appliances such as smoke and/or cinders. The Planning Commission held a public hearing for the proposed ordinance during their regular meeting on September 1, 2005. There were no written or verbal comments submitted. However, the Planning Commission raised several concerns and directed s ia FI' to revise the proposed ordinance accordingly. Community Development Director Trudgeon reviewed the revisions made to the ordinance. He indicated thc revised draft of the proposed ordinance was presented to the Planning Commission at their ()ctober 6, 2005 meeting.
