Jim Deal, applicant, provided a presentation of the three-story, 51,829-square foot office/retail <br />bt~ilding proposed for Outlet W in Ramsey Town Center Addition. <br /> <br />l)cnny Sharp, applicant, requested further information from staff regarding the building elevation <br />requirement relating to handicap accommodations and the fire hydrant requirement addressed in <br />the engineering lncmo. <br /> <br />Mayor (iamec directed staff to work with Mr. Sharp regarding the issues raised. <br /> <br />Councilmcmber Elvig stated this site plan is in the sprit of what the City has envisioned. The <br />materials arc wonderful, with good color separation, and he likes the potential for multiple uses <br />in thc building. Regarding the FAR requirements, the buildings that are being built in Town <br />(Smtcr arc valued higher than had been anticipated, which may lead to rationale in writing a <br />cti ffcrcnt ordinance. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Trudgeon noted the building value is a good point, however, <br />the I:A R also relates to the aesthetics of the building. <br /> <br />Mayor (;amec suggested staff be given the flexibility to deal with the FAR within a range based <br />on thc ordinance or site plan review. <br /> <br />Cotmcilmcmber Strommen suggested that deviations from FAR requirements be tied into <br />p~x/brmancc standards. <br /> <br />Motion by Councihnember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to approve the <br />prelimimtry site plan for Ramsey Professional Center contingent upon compliance with the City <br />Slat'[' Review Letter dated September 29, 2005 revised October 7, 2005; approval of a revised <br />Grading and Drainage Plan by the City Engineer, and Engineering Memo dated October 11, <br />2O05. <br /> <br />/viotion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cook, Jeffrey, Elvig, Olson, <br />Pearson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Jeffrey, seconded by Councilmember Cook, to approve the <br />preliminary plat for Ramsey Town Center 11th Addition, contingent upon compliance with the <br />City Staff Review Letter dated October 6, 2005, and Engineering Memo dated October 6, 2005. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Jeffrey, Cook, Elvig, Olson, <br />Pearson, and Strommen.
