Background <br /> <br />AUTHORIZATION TO HIRE AN INVESTIGATIVE SERGEANT <br /> <br />By: Givonna Reed, Human Resources Manager <br /> <br />At the November 22, 2005 meeting, the City Council authorized staff to begin an internal <br />recruitment process to fill an Investigative Sergeant position. The Investigative Sergeant <br />position was advertised internally, interviews were conducted and the Police Chief is <br />recommending Jeffrey Katers for the Investigative Sergeant position. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation <br /> <br />Staff recommends that Jeffrey Katers, be hired as the. Investigative Sergeant effective <br />January 1, 2006 at a starting wage of $30.17 per hour.
