Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION # <br /> <br /> AUTHORIZATION TO HIRE AN INVESTIGATIVE SERGEANT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in November 2005 the City Council authorized staff to conduct an <br />internal recruitment process to for an Investigative Sergeant position; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council granted authorization to begin the recruitment <br />process to fill the Investigative Sergeant position; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a recruitment process has been conducted and the Police Chief <br />recommends that Jeffrey Katers be hired as the Investigative Sergeant effective January <br />1, 2006 at a starting wage of $30.17 per hour. Mr. Katers's probationary period will be <br />six months and all other personnel policies will apply normally. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, <br /> <br />Confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to do the following: <br /> <br /> Hire Jeffrey Katers as the Investigative Sergeant effective January 1, 2006 at a <br /> starting wage of $30.17 per hour. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member, , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 13th day of December 2005. <br /> <br />-623- <br /> <br /> <br />
