Councihnember Hendriksen stated that there needs to be a task force or committee created to <br />work with all the different groups that will be involved with the project. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos stated that the Park Commission plans on having an open house <br />type of meeting to invite the residents of the neighborhood to express their concerns or opinion <br />regarding the park in order and avoid any obstacles. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen suggested forming the Committee in December and having them put <br />in place the plans to start the process in January. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Committee was to continue discussions regarding the Park's C.I.P. at a work <br />session. <br /> <br />Case #3: <br /> <br />Award Bids for Installation of Heating and Ventilation of Metal Storage <br />Building <br /> <br />Public Works Supervisor Riemer stated that on Friday, October 6, 2000, an advertisement for <br />bids was published in the Anoka County Union for two consecutive weeks for the installation of <br />heating and ventilation of a metal storage building at the Public Works Division. On Friday, <br />October 20, 2000, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law. Following are the <br />results of the bidding: <br /> <br /> Bidder <br />· Ramsey Heating and Cooling $57,995.00 <br />· Blaine Heating, Air Conditioning & Electric, Inc. $62,620.00 <br /> <br />Bid Amount <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if Ramsey Heating and Cooling had done work for the <br />City. <br /> <br />Public Works Supervisor Riemer replied yes, and stated that staff has been satisfied with the <br />work they have done. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Connolly, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to recommend <br />that City Cotmcil adopt the resolution awarding the contract for the installation of heating and <br />ventilation of a metal storage building to the lowest responsible bidder, Ramsey Heating and <br />Cooling in the amount of $57,995.00. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
