acquiring the easements necessary for construction of the sewer and water lines. The majority of <br />the properties need to be acquired before issuing the bids for the project. Mr. Jankowski <br />reviewed that the Council authorized staff to retain The Tinklenberg Group and Prosource <br />Technologies on August 23, 2005. These firms will contact each property owner individually, <br />negotiate the necessary easement and prepare the necessary documents to transfer the easements <br />to the City. The Council has approved the completed negotiations for 10 parcels along the <br />project. There are a total of 54 properties along the selected alignment. Jodi Ruehle of The <br />Tinklenberg Group has come to terms with 7 additional properties. <br /> <br />Jodi Ruehle, The Tinklenberg Group, provided a status report on the property acquisitions for the <br />Northwest Sanitary Sewer Extension Project. She indicated there are five properties that do not <br />require compensation due to modifications in the plan. An agreement was reached with seven <br />properties in the last two weeks. The total negotiated amount of the seven properties is <br />$8,303.99. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to approve the completed <br />easement acquisitions for properties along the Northwest Sanitary Sewer Alignment. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cook, Elvig, Jeffrey, Olson, <br />Pearson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #13: Authorize Installation of Lighting in the TH 47 Pedestrian Underpass <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski indicated before the Council is a proposal from Connexus Energy for <br />the installation of five metal halide lighting fixtures and associated electrical equipment to <br />provide lighting for the pedestrian underpass being constructed across TH 47. The cost of the <br />work is estimated to be $5,530, which includes materials and installation. The work anticipates <br />that it can still be performed before significant frost sets into the ground. In the event this is not <br />the case, an additional $700 might be anticipated. An additional $200 should be budgeted for the <br />installation of a conduit to accommodate a security camera system that can be installed <br />concurrent with the electrical cable. Mr. Jankowski advised staff recommends acceptance of the <br />proposal from Connexus Energy for the installation of lighting for the TH 47 pedestrian <br />underpass and that $6,430 be budgeted for this work which would come from the funds <br />dedicated to this project, Improvement Project 05-30. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to accept the proposal <br />from Connexus Energy for the installation of lighting for the TH 47 pedestrian underpass and <br />that $6,430 be budgeted for this work which would come from the funds dedicated to this <br />project, Improvement Project 05-30. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Olson asked when the lighting will be installed.
