Chairperson Anderson called the regular meeting of the Planning Commission back to order at
10:32 p.m.

Case #15: Revisit Request for Cell Tower; Case of US West Wireless

Christine Bocian, US West Wireless, stated that they need to install a 180 foot monopole in the
area and they have identified two properties, the Gobernatz's property and a piece of property at
T.H. #47 and C.R. 27. The new property being considered is 140 acres which would have less
impact on residents in the area.

Commissioner Johnson stated that he does not have an objection to a 180 foot tower if it does not
significantly impact the area.

Commissioner Dempsey stated that he would consider the new site if it can significantly lower
the impact on residents.

Chairperson Anderson stated that he would be willing to consider the new site, but would not
agree to a 180 foot pole on the Gobematz property.

Christine Bocian stated she would continue to pursue the alternate site and report back to the
commission at their regular meeting in May.

Case #7: Proposed Ordinance on Trail Construction

Chairperson Anderson closed the regular portion of the Planning Commission meeting at 10:36
p.m. in order to conduct the public hearing.

Public Hearing

Chairman Anderson called the public hearing to order at 10:36 p.m.

Presentation

Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos stated that at the February 10, 2000 Park and Recreation
Commission meeting, the Commission provided an opportunity for the public and developers to
comment on the proposed urban sidewalk ordinance. One developer inquired as to whether the
ordinance would apply to developments that have already received preliminary plat approval.
There were no other comments received.

Citizen Input

There was none.

Planning Commission/March 6, 2000
