Chairperson Anderson closed the regular portion of the Planning Commission meeting at 7:25
p.m. in order to conduct the public hearing.

Public Hearing

Chairman Anderson called the public hearing to order at 7:25 p.m.

Presentation

In 1995 and again in 1997, the City issued grading permits to North Fork, Inc. to re-grade Lots 3
and 4 in Northfork Lake and export approximately 15,000 cubic yards of material from the site.
The grading permit was approved in order to create more attractive, walkout style building sites.
Both of the previous grading permits lapsed prior to the grading project being initiated or
completed. In February of this year, the City received a new application for a grading permit on
the subject property. The revised project would consist of movement of about 6,00 yards of
material and no exporting of soils from the site. The Applicant has indicated that removal of the
soils from the site is cost prohibitive to the project and that the project would take approximately
30 days to complete.

Citizen Input

There was none.

Motion by Commissioner Wivoda, seconded by Commissioner Johnson, to close the public
hearing.

Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Anderson, Commissioners Wivoda, Johnson,
Dempsey, Kociscak, and Wivoda. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Jensen and Nixt.

The public hearing closed at 7:27 p.m.

Commission Business

Chairperson Anderson called the regular meeting of the Plmming Commission back to order at
7:27 p.m.

Motion by Commissioner Wivoda, seconded by Commissioner Kociscak, to adopt Findings of
Fact # PC-00-002 and recommend that City Council adopt like findings of fact relating to North
Fork's request for grading permit on Lots 3 and 4, Block 2, Northfork Lake Addition.

Further discussion: Chairperson Anderson inquired if item #13 of the findings of fact should
remain. City Engineer Jankowski replied yes.

Planning Commission/March 6, 2000
