Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case la: <br /> <br />Request for a Conditional Use Permit for a Personal Communication Service <br />Tower; Case of U.S. West Wireless <br /> <br />Vice-Chairperson Nixt closed the regular portion of the Planning Commission meeting at 7:36 <br />p.m. in order to conduct the continuance of the public heating. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Vice-Chairperson Nixt called the public hearing back to order at 7:36 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik stated that US West has withdrawn their application <br />temporarily and waived the 60-day decision rule so the consultant, hired by the City, has time to <br />review the City's tower ordinance. Staff recommended closing this public hearing and <br />conducting a new public hearing when the application is resumed. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Kociscak, seconded by Commissioner Wivoda, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 7:39 p.m. <br /> <br />Commission Business <br /> <br />Vice-Chairperson Nixt called the regular meeting of the Planning Commission back to order at <br />7:39 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Meg McMonical, Senior Planner From McCombs, Frank, Roos & Associates, stated that she will <br />be completing the study on the City's tower ordinance. She is currently in the early stages of the <br />review process and was looking for feedback from the Commission. She explained that she has <br />reviewed issues that have arisen with recent applications and will be researching those issues. <br />There are several cities that have an ordinance that does not allow towers on residential <br /> <br />Planning Commission/August 1, 2000 <br /> Page 4 of 13 <br /> <br /> <br />
