Mr. Trudgeon advised staff has made substantial comments regarding the submitted grading, <br />drainage, and utility plans. Specific details are outlined in the City Staff Review Letter. He <br />advised the preliminary and final plat generally conforms to the Town Center master plan and <br />standards established in the TC-1 District, therefore staff is recommending approval contingent <br />upon compliance with the City Staff Review Letter dated December 9, 2005. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to approve Preliminary <br />Plat for Ramsey Town Center 13th Addition, contingent upon compliance with the City Staff <br />Review Letter dated December 9, 2005, and to adopt Resolution #05-12-424 to approve the final <br />plat of Ramsey Town Center 13th Addition, contingent on addressing the issues stated in the City <br />Staff Review Letter dated December 9, 2005. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Absem: CouncilmemberOlson. <br /> <br />Case #9: <br /> <br />Request for Final Site Plan Review of Asissi Restaurant/Nightclub; Case of <br />National Growth, LLC <br /> <br />Community Development Director Tmdgeon reviewed that National Growth, LLC submitted an <br />application to develop a 12,000 square foot restaurant/deli/nightclub located generally at <br />Sunwood Drive and West Ramsey Town Center Drive within Ramsey Town Center. The <br />Council met at the work session on November 8, 2005, to review the Asissi site plan. Asissi <br />received preliminary site plan approval at the City Council meeting on November 22, 2005. The <br />applicant is present to answer any questions. He advised revised details regarding the valet and <br />curb-side pick-up still need to be addressed. The Planning Commission and staff recommend <br />approval of the final site plan contingent upon the Staff Review Letter dated December 9, 2005. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig thanked Abel Lawabni and National Growth for this remarkable project <br />and pioneering in the community. He requested Mr. Lawabni discuss the security for Asissi with <br />the Police Chief. <br /> <br />Abel Lawabni, Asissi Restaurant/Nightclub/National Growth, stated he will work hard to provide <br />the City with the answers regarding security and to make sure this project goes smooth and is a <br />safe place for people to come. The options that are being considered at this time are to hire a <br />private security company, to hire off-duty police officers, or to hire their own staff on Asissi <br />payroll as full-time employees. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig requested Mr. Lawabni to share this security information with the Police <br />Chief.
