Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cook, Jeffrey, Elvig, Pearson,
and Strommen. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Olson.

Councilmember Elvig stated he would like to go on record to support Mr. Brauer. There seems
to be some contention of Mr. Brauer using the pulpit as a platform, but it has been suggested
some sound bites were taken out of context. He has found Mr. Brauer to have a very
conscientious thought process. As a Councilmember he relies on good debate and open
discussion on the Planning & Zoning Commission. Mr. Brauer has a very historical perspective
of the community, and Chairperson Nixt has voiced his need for that.

Conncilmember Strommen concurred. She stated Mr. Brauer has the support of the Chair and
Vice Chair of his Commission. He has made a good positive contribution to the City, and some
good input to the McKnight Grant. He is thoughtful and does his homework on the Commission.
She would support his reappointment.

Councilmember Pearson explained his concern was with the current policy. Under the current
policy, the recommendation of the Chair and Vice Chair is not necessarily taken.
