Chairperson Nixt indicated right aow they are ail showing as single-family, but when <br />services are available it could be anything, depending on what the zoning allowed at the <br />time. He stated that is so far out it cannot be determined. <br /> <br />Mr. Tb. omas suggested that people with 2 tA acre lots could have five homes behind them. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt indicated that theoretically that would be possible, but they are not <br />considering anything tonight except 16 lots. <br /> <br />Nh'. Thomas asked if traffic would run down Erkium Street, or if there is another street. <br /> <br />Associate P[armer Wald stated the development would gain access to Erldum Street and <br />down to 177~h. <br /> <br />Mr. Thomas asked why the homeowners were not brought into the process on the Cluster <br />Ordinance before now. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johnson indicated the City tried to notify all residents of the city what was <br />happening. He noted that some of these 2 V: acre lots wili be developed into 7 or 8 new <br />lots, and more of that is what the City is trying to avoid. <br /> <br />Mr. Thomas indicated in Andover they are developing with 2 ~A acre up to I0 acre lots. <br />He stated it is hard to imagine .38 homes on 40 acres. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johnson stated he Would suggest Andover will have a problem when City <br />sewer and water is available. <br /> <br />P. oger.Rowbotham, I7715 Erkium Street, showed h/s home on the map. He stated that <br />out bas kitchen window will be the communal septic system. He indicated it was <br />mentioned this is the f~rst proposed development, and he would like to see a working <br />system, wbich is bis first concern. He stated there will be wells on smaller lots, which is <br />also a concern for their existing wellsi He added that indi,Adual septics fail, and asked <br />what would happen if this communal system fails. He stated there is no track record for <br />these systems. He indicated he understands development happens, but tiffs is making a <br />decision for all of Ramsey. He added he wants to stay in his home. <br /> <br />Mr. Rowbotham stated that Erkium Street will be bombarded with traffic, which is a <br />disaster waiting to happen. He stated the City needs to take it slow. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johnson noted that Staff should be able to provide examples of working <br />communal septic systems That the neighbors can look at. <br /> <br />Mr. P, owbotham asked what kind of timeline they are Iook/ng at for City services. <br /> <br /> <br />
