Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #9: Acquisition of Property Adjacent to Public Works Facility <br /> <br />Director of Public Works Kapler stated that at the March 14, 2000 Council meeting, staffwas <br />directed to commence negotiations on the property immediately north of the Public Works <br />facility (PIN 32-25-33-0012). Conversations between staff, BCL Appraisals, Inc. and the <br />property owner's representative indicate that the property is not for sale. A registered letter was <br />sent to confirm the owner is not willing to sell. Staff is recommending allowing the City <br />Administrator to acquire the property by direct negotiation or condemnation. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec inquired if staff had worked out the financial aspects. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works Kapler replied that there are monies available through the Public <br />Works construction fund. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Anderson, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to adopt <br />Resolution #00-03-075 to authorize acquisition of the above-mentioned property for the purposes <br />of additional building and space for the City's Public Works facility. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
