parks and green and open spaces. He thought up to this point they have done an excellent job <br />anticipating expectations. Another concern he has had is the swap of having the developers pay <br />for everything and having the City pay to care for all of it. He stated they needed to find out how <br />they can best transition to this. <br /> <br />Councilmember Strommen thought their communication has been mostly reactive and they have <br />not met residents' expectations on this and she thought this was something they needed to be <br />more proactive on in the future. She thought they were too reactive. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamac thought they are going to be faced with more social problems as they grow. He <br />thought they needed to continue to work on this because it will become more of a problem. He <br />thought this was something they needed to be aware of. Another issue is going to be the <br />infrastructure and the roads and transportation in the City. He thought they needed to have <br />communication people working with the people because Councilmembers will come and go. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cook noted it is like having a PR Department working for the City to <br />communicate with residents. He thought someone needed to take care of their interests. They <br />need a vehicle to tell the story. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamac stated the Council needs to be with the people and not just delegate the work to be <br />done. <br /> <br />Councilmember Olson thought they needed to make more efficient use of the intemet for <br />communication and as they grow they need to be very careful to make sure the City develops in <br />neighborhoods so there is communication within the neighborhood. <br /> <br />Councilmember Strommen thought they needed to work more on the development areas for <br />residents to communicate with each other. <br /> <br />Mr. Norman stated there is more community sense and awareness now that Coburn's' is open. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cook thought there will be more community feeling as Town Center develops. <br />He thought it was important to provide an area for people to meet and get together. <br /> <br />Mayo Gamac stated when they have Happy Days it shows the need for community and what <br />people want in the community. <br /> <br />It was decided to meet again with Springsted, Inc. after individual meetings with some of the <br />Councilmembers. <br /> <br />4) Cluster Subdivision Sketch Plans <br /> <br />Community Development Director Tmdgeon stated last spring the City received four sketch <br />plans for cluster subdivisions proposed for north of Trott Brook. In September, the Council <br />reviewed all of the sketch plans and gave their comments.
