Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Zimmerman, <br />Anderson, and Connolly. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Mr. Robert Dillon, property owner, stated he wondered if the Council is aware how far off the <br />valuations are so far. He noted there is another recent sale, the Miller property. He added he <br />believes that is the value that should have been used. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman asked if the value is too high or too low. <br /> <br />Mr. Dillon stated it is way too low. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen asked if the same comments would be made at the tax assessor's <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated the values could be protested. <br /> <br />Mr. Dillon stated the project is so expensive. He noted the entire project is set up wrong. He <br />suggested that it should have been on the other side of the tracks. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec thanked him for his comments. <br /> <br />Mr. Winslow Holasek, property owner, asked about the damage to the trees. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated the property owners have the right to reject the offers. He noted <br />the City would have to go through the process of condemnation. <br /> <br />Mr. Holasek stated he is concerned about the damages from the loss of trees. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated this issue could be considered above the City's offer. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated the City Attorney could explain the condemnation process for <br />the property owners. <br /> <br />Mr. Holasek stated he did not need an explanation of the process. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec noted the City Council had considered five alternatives. <br /> <br />Mr. Holasek asked if the area is flooded, who would pay to fix it. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated if that situation occurs, the City would address it. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec explained the City Engineer has stated to the best of his knowledge, the project <br />would work.
