Absent: CouncilmemberAnderson. <br /> <br />2) Approve Construction of Cottonwood Park's Bridge <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Connolly, to approve the <br />bridge design and authorize staff to complete the Cottonwood Park bridge utilizing the <br />previously designated $4,000 in EDA monies. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Connolly, and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. Absent: CouncilmemberAnderson. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />Approve Year 2000 Park and Recreation Commission Capital Improvement <br />Program and Work Plan <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen noted that they will be postponing the improvements at Solstice <br />Park until it is determined what will happen with the Katnis property. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to approve the 2000 Park's <br />Capital hnprovement program as presented excluding Solstice Park improvements. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Connolly, and <br />Zimmennan. Voting No: None. Absent: CouncilmemberAnderson. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Connolly, to direct the <br />Parks Department to design a long range strategy for the southwest comer that clearly identifies <br />Central Park as one of the City's premier parks and in the interim clean up the location. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Connolly, and <br />Zimmen'nan. Voting No: None. Absent: CouncilmemberAnderson. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />1) Co-City Community Center <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman presented the Council with a revised proposal for a Community <br />Center from BWBR Architects. He explained that The City of Andover invited the City of <br />Ramsey to participate in a scaled back proposal. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Council was to discuss the issue at a Council work session. <br /> <br />City Council/July 25, 2000 <br />Page 13 of 14 <br /> <br /> <br />
