Presentation

Finance Officer Lund stated that the City of Ramsey provides varying services that are billed
directly to residents through the municipal utility bill and through invoices. During 1994, the
City passed Ordinance #94-13, which allows for the certification of payments for cun'ent services
that are delinquent as of September 1, of each year. This is the fifth year that the City of Ramsey
will be certifying delinquent payments as assessments to be collected with property taxes payable
in 2001. The total of delinquent payments, as of the writing of this case, there was $4,575.83
(which includes penalties and interest). This amount is anticipated to change after collections
through September 26, 2000 are posted. The new amount will be the amount to be included in
the resolution for certification. Any payments received after September 26, 2000, and through
November 3, 2000, will be indicated as "prepaid" when the list is transmitted to Anoka County
for certification.

Citizen Input

There was none.

Motion by Councilmember Connolly, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman,' to close the
public hearing.

Motion carried.
