Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if it is the intention of the City to obtain the Vasseur's <br />property. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich replied yes, noting that the process to obtain the parcel has begun. <br />Councilmember Zirnmerman requested that the item be tabled. <br /> <br />Motion' by Councihnember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Connolly, to table action. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Connolly, Anderson, <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Lowell Vasseur stated that he would have appreciated a notice from the City that people would <br />be entering his property to make an assessment of the property and received permission from <br />him. <br /> <br />Case #12: Accept Information Regarding Finishing the Interior of the Old Town Hall <br /> <br />Item was tabled. <br /> <br />Case #13: Report from Public Works Committee <br /> <br />1) Update on T.H. #47 <br /> <br />Director of Public Works Kapler stated that the Public Works Committee was supportive of the <br />proposal to construct a six-foot high, wooden barrier along the top of the berm between 149th <br />Avenue NW and the northerly edge of wetland 680w (near the former Law's property). The <br />Committee suggested further discussions with MnDOT on the maintenance responsibility for the <br />wall. A number of residents from the Willow Ridge development were present requesting <br />consideration of some similar type of screening be considered from the area north and south of <br />Barium Street NW and T.H. #47 where the roadway was also raised and the existing berm was <br />reduced. The Committee directed staff to work with the residents and report back to the <br />Committee with options. <br /> <br />Motion by Councihnember Zimmerman, seconded by Councilmember Connolly, to ratify the <br />direction of the Public Works Committee. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Connolly, <br />Anderson, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />City Council/September 26, 2000 <br /> Page 34 of 36 <br /> <br /> <br />
