Absent: Commissioner <br />Shumway. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Hendriksen and seconded by Commissioner Howell to <br />table action on UPA's request for a conditional use permit to allow the <br />Planning Commission the opportunity to observe a similar operating <br />substation. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Hendriksen, <br />Howell, Holm and Terry. Voting No: Commissioner LaDue. Absent: <br />Commissioner Shumway. <br /> <br />The Commission recessed at 8:55 p.m. <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman called the meeting back to order at 9:15 p.m. <br /> <br />Case 44: Reouest For Conditional Use Permit To Grade And Remove Excess <br /> Materials From,Property: Case Of Mr. David Schult~; <br /> <br />Mr. Schulte stated that the part of Oakwood Hills lying along Cry. Rd. #5 <br />requires the removal of excess materials in order to meet road elevations <br />set by the city. Mr. Schulte stated that he hopes it is not necessary to <br />removed more than 60,000 yards of fill but he will obtain more exact <br />information for the Commission. The excavation process will involve no use <br />of city streets. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Hendriksen and seconded by Commissioner Howell to <br />schedule a special meeting for August 30, 1988 and table Mr. Schulte's <br />request for a conditional use permit until that time. In the interim~ <br />Staff shall prepare proposed findings of fact and Mr. Schulte shall provide <br />information regarding amount of fill material to be removed from 0akwood <br />Hills. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmer=an, Commissioners Hendriksen, <br />Holm, Terry and LaDue. Voting No: None. Abstain: Commissioner <br />Howell. Absent: Commissioner Shumway. <br /> <br />Case ~; Resuest For Metes And Bounds Subdivision: Case Of Mr. Ed Oua=; <br /> <br />Mr. Ed Quam was present requesting a metes and bounds subdivision of a five <br />acre parcel located on the west side of Xenotith Street, immediately north <br />of Caroline A~res. <br /> <br />The Commission expressed concern that the parcel does not meet the 25% <br />Class A soils requirement. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Hendriksen and seconded by Commissioner Holm to <br />table action on Mr. Quam's request for a metes and bounds subdivision to <br />allow Mr. Quam the time to consider his options. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Hendriksen, <br />Holm, Terry and LaDue. Voting No: None. Abstain: Commissioner <br />Howell.
