The identified
issues represent matters of Metropolitan Council staff concern in terms of
possible inconsistencies between Ramsey'S existing plans and the Developz.,.',*t
Framework, and the' 208 \~atcr Quality Management Plan. Ramsay should be
of these issues as ~lanning under the Land Planning Act is completed. It is
hoped that through continued dialogue between Ramsay and Metropolitan Council
staff that these issues may'be resolvcd.

A. Site of the city's 1990 urban service area
Tm_' Ramsey U-ban Planning District report indicates a 1990 urban service
,~rc., or abc;ut 2.9 squa,'e mile~. The repor~ also shows an adjacent industrial
,-,rt'., of 2.5 square miles and a bus~nes5 area of approxlr,~atelY .4 square .ile~
a'.~ng Highway 10 just west of Anoka. Although the - , -- does not specifically
indicate the timing of urban development in the industrial and cemmurc~'
areas, sewer service scheduling in the city's Comprehcu>ive Sc~,,:;' Plan indi-
cates these areas may be expected to urb, qnize before 19'30.
