CASE #13: JANITORIAL SERVICE FOR CITY HALL <br />Background Information: Council, at their October 14, 1980, <br />regular meeting was informed we would be losing the cleaning <br />boy, Dave Homstad, by November 1, 1980. City Staff presented <br />Council with two estimates for janitorial service at this <br />meeting. You at that meeting recommended that City Staff con- <br />tact another person by the name of Bill Orvis. Mr. Orvis was <br />contacted by City Staff and he recommended his neighbor, Mr. <br />David L. Chisler. JAr. Orvis and Mr. Chisler visited City Hall <br />on October 23, 1980 and on October 24, 1980 presented City <br />Staff with their estimate. <br />The estimates City Staff have received are as follows: <br />1) Mr. John Tehran $245.00 + $75.00 the <br />first month to get <br />building in shape <br />2) Printy's Building Service $387.00 + $210.00 initial <br />clean up of the building <br />3) Mr. David L. Chisler $850.00 <br />City Staff is now re- presenting the estimates we have received. <br />In reviewing these estimates, City Staff is recommending the <br />awarding of the bid to Mr. John Terhan in the amount of $245.00. <br />Mr. Terhan, however, feels an additional amount of $75.00 will <br />be needed the first month to get our new building back into <br />shape as it is quite run down. We feel this is completely fair <br />and not out of line at all since Printy's Building Service is <br />requesting $210.00 for the initial clean up of the building. <br />Council Action: Your action will be to approve /disapprove of <br />the recommendation on the janitorial service. <br />Please refer to enclosure (D2 -s) for the actual estimates. <br />
