CSAH 5 and Sunwood Drive NW <br />The improvement concept developed for the CSAH 5/Sunwood Drive intersection includes <br />converting the intersection into a roundabout. The roundabout improvement concept for the CSAH <br />5/Sunwood Drive NW intersection is shown in Figure 10. <br />Figure 10: CSAH 5 and Sunwood Drive NW Intersection Improvement Concept <br />The roundabout option slows traffic to allow for safer turn moves. Additionally, the roundabout <br />concept provides safer pedestrian accommodations. The roundabout concept does require new right <br />of way and may require a pond. The estimated construction cost for the realignment improvement <br />concept at CSAH 5/Sunwood Drive is $2,000,000 - $4,000,000. <br />23 <br />
