Chairperson McDilda stated that now it's not just about the Tree Book. He asked ho~v it could <br />be dovetailed into the City's efforts to make things easier for residents. <br /> <br />Board Member Freeberg asked if the EPB was going to participate in the EXPO for 2006. <br /> <br />Chairperson McDilda stated that the EPB was participating. He stated that there are some good <br />ideas going into the EXPO. He stated that last year's theme was targeted at the wetland buffer <br />because that's what the EPB was in the midst of. <br /> <br />Councilmember Strommen reminded Chairperson McDilda that the EXPO was the next case to <br />be discussed on the agenda. <br /> <br />Board Member Bentz suggested a GIS update to be added to the 2006 calendar. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the EPB members that GIS update be added to the calendar. <br /> <br />Board Member Max stated that last year there was something in the work plan to have a joint <br />meeting with the Park and Recreation Board. He stated that the Park and Recreation Board <br />should be invited to an EPB meeting. <br /> <br />Environmental Specialist Bacon suggested adding the greenway to the work plan. <br /> <br />Chairperson McDilda stated that wasn't actually in last year's work plan. <br /> <br />Board Member Max concurred that greenway should be added to the work plan for 2006 <br /> <br />Board Member Fmeburg asked what the input from the Park and Recreation Board was on the <br />greenway plan. <br /> <br />Chairperson McDilda stated that the EPB had no role in 2005. <br /> <br />Environmental Specialist Bacon stated that the work with Peterson Environmental has added <br />concrete biological reality to that process. <br /> <br />Board Member Olds stated that during the summer the Park and Recreation Board meets at <br />various parks. <br /> <br />Board Member Max stated that he would prefer to invite the Park and Recreation Board to meet <br />at the usual EPB meeting place. <br /> <br />Case #3: Environmental EXPO 2006 <br /> <br />Chair McDilda stated that the EPB has been a part of the Environmental EXPO for a number of <br />years. He asked the Board for ideas. <br /> <br />Environmental Specialist Bacon suggested that the EPB could take on a sponsoring role. He <br />suggested that the Economic Development Authority may be looking into some other model for <br />economic development. He stated there may be a link to the EPB interest in promoting the <br /> <br />Environmental Policy Board / January 9, 2006 <br /> Page 14 of 16 <br /> <br /> <br />
