HF100 NINTH ENGROSSMENT REVISOR BD 1-10100-9 <br />18.1 (8) an expert on race, equity, and inclusion; <br />18.2 (9) a medical cannabis patient; <br />18.3 (10) an individual who has been justice involved for the sale of cannabis; and <br />18.4 (11) an individual with experience in implementing an adult use legalization program. <br />18.5 (f) While serving on the search committee, members may not: <br />18.6 (1) have a financial interest in a cannabis business or hemp business; <br />18.7 (2) be a director or officer of a pharmaceutical company; or <br />18.8 (3) be a registered lobbyist. <br />18.9 (g) Members of the advisory committee are not eligible for reimbursement. <br />18.10 (h) The governor shall designate a chair of the committee who shall convene the first <br />18. i i meeting. The committee may elect other officers as needed. Meetings of the committee are <br />18.12 subject to chapter 13D. <br />18.13 (i) The commissioner of agriculture shall provide space and support for the advisory <br />18.14 committee. The advisory committee expires on August 1, 2023. <br />18.15 Subd. 7. Employees. (a) The office may employ other personnel in the classified service <br />18.16 necessary to carry out the duties in this chapter. <br />18.17 (b) Upon request by the office, a prospective employee of the office must submit a <br />18.18 completed criminal history records check consent form, a full set of classifiable fingerprints, <br />i 8. i 9 and the required fees to the office. Upon receipt of this information, the office must submit <br />18.20 the completed criminal history records check consent form, full set of classifiable fingerprints, <br />18.21 and required fees to the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. After receiving this information, <br />18.22 the bureau must conduct a Minnesota criminal history records check of the prospective <br />18.23 employee. The bureau may exchange a prospective employee's fingerprints with the Federal <br />18.24 Bureau of Investigation to obtain the prospective employee's national criminal history record <br />18.25 information. The bureau must return the results of the Minnesota and federal criminal history <br />18.26 records checks to the director to determine if the prospective employee is disqualified under <br />18.27 rules adopted pursuant to section 342.15. <br />18.28 (c) While employed by the office and within two years after terminating employment, <br />18.29 an employee may not have a direct or an indirect financial interest in a cannabis business <br />18.30 licensed under this chapter. <br />Article 1 Sec. 2. 18 <br />
