HF100 NINTH ENGROSSMENT REVISOR BD 1-10100-9 <br />43.1 (12) have fully and truthfully complied with all information requests of the office relating <br />43.2 to license application and renewal; <br />43.3 (13) not be disqualified under section 342.15; <br />43.4 (14) not employ an individual who is disqualified from working for a cannabis business <br />43.5 under this chapter; and <br />43.6 (15) meet the ownership and operational requirements for the type of license and, if <br />43.7 applicable, endorsement sought or held. <br />43.8 (b) A health care practitioner who certifies qualifying medical conditions for patients is <br />43.9 prohibited from: <br />43.10 (1) holding a direct or indirect economic interest in a cannabis business; <br />43.11 (2) serving as a cooperative member, director, manager, general partner, or employee <br />43.12 of a cannabis business; or <br />43.13 (3) advertising with a cannabis business in any way. <br />43.14 (c) If the license holder or applicant is a business entity, every officer, director, manager, <br />43.15 and general partner of the business entity must meet each of the requirements of this section. <br />43.16 (d) The ownership disqualifications and requirements under this section do not apply to <br />43.17 a hemp business license holder or applicant. <br />43.18 Sec. 17. [342.17] SOCIAL EQUITY APPLICANTS. <br />43.19 An individual qualifies as a social equity applicant if the individual is: <br />43.20 (1) convicted of a cannabis -related offense prior to the effective date of this chapter, or <br />43.21 had a parent, guardian, child, spouse, or dependent, or was a dependent of an individual <br />43.22 who, prior to the effective date of this chapter, was convicted of a cannabis -related offense; <br />43.23 (2) a service -disabled veteran and national guard as well as any military veteran or <br />43.24 national guard who lost honorable status due to a cannabis -related offense; <br />43.25 (3) a resident for the last five years of one or more communities disproportionately <br />43.26 impacted by cannabis enforcement as determined by the study conducted by the office <br />43.27 pursuant to section 342.04, paragraph (b), and reported in the preliminary report, final report, <br />43.28 or both; <br />43.29 (4) socially disadvantaged farmers or ranchers as defined by United States Code, title <br />43.3o 7, section 2003(e)(2); or <br />Article 1 Sec. 17. 43 <br />
