HF100 NINTH ENGROSSMENT REVISOR BD 1­10100-9 <br />141.1 (5) two members representing substance use disorder treatment programs licensed under <br />141.2 chapter 245G; <br />141.3 (6) one public member who is a Minnesota resident and in recovery from a substance <br />141.4 use disorder; <br />141.5 (7) one public member who is a family member of a person with a substance use disorder; <br />141.6 (8) one member who is a physician with experience in substance use disorders; <br />141.7 (9) one member who is a licensed psychologist, licensed professional clinical counselor <br />141.8 licensed marriage and family therapist, or licensed social worker; <br />141.9 (10) one member of each federally recognized Tribal Nation within the geographical <br />141. i o boundaries of the state of Minnesota; <br />141.11 (11) one mental health advocate representing persons with mental illness; <br />141.12 (12) one member representing county social services agencies; <br />141.13 (13) one patient advocate: <br />141.14 (14) a representative from a community that experienced a disproportionate, negative <br />141.15 impact from cannabis prohibition; <br />141.16 (15) one veteran; and <br />141.17 (16) one parent of a medical cannabis batient who is under aae 21. <br />141.18 (b) The commissioner of human services shall coordinate appointments to ensure the <br />141.19 geographic diversity of council members and shall ensure that at least one-third of council <br />141.20 members reside outside of the seven -county metropolitan area. <br />141.21 (c) The council is governed by section 15.059, except that members of the council shall <br />141.22 receive no compensation other than reimbursement for expenses. Notwithstanding section <br />141.23 15.059, subdivision 6, the council shall not expire. <br />141.24 (d) The chair shall convene the council on a auarterlv basis and may convene other <br />141.25 meetings as necessary. The chair shall convene meetings at different locations in the state <br />141.26 to provide geographic access to members of the public. <br />141.27 (e) The commissioner of human services shall provide staff and administrative services <br />141.28 for the advisory council. <br />141.29 (f) The council is subject to chapter 13D. <br />Article 1 Sec. 71. 141 <br />
