<br />224.3 Subd. 4. Local and Tribal health departments. The commissioner of health shall
<br />224.4 distribute grants to local health departments and Tribal health departments for these
<br />224.5 departments to create and disseminate educational materials on cannabis flower, cannabis
<br />224.6 products, lower -potency hemp edibles, and hemp -derived consumer products and to provide
<br />224.7 safe use and prevention training, education, technical assistance, and community engagement
<br />224.8 regarding cannabis flower, cannabis products, lower -potency hemp edibles, and hemp -derived
<br />224.9 consumer products.
<br />224.10 Sec. 9. Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 144.99, subdivision 1, is amended to read:
<br />224.11 Subdivision 1. Remedies available. The provisions of chapters 103I and 157 and sections
<br />224.12 115.71 to 115.77; 144.12, subdivision 1, paragraphs (1), (2), (5), (6), (10), (12), (13), (14),
<br />224.13 and (15); 144.1201 to 144.1204; 144.121; 144.1215; 144.1222; 144.3 5; 144.3 81 to 144.3 85;
<br />224.14 144.411 to 144.417; 144.495; 144.71 to 144.74; 144.9501 to 144.9512; 144.97 to 144.98;
<br />224.15 144.992; 752.22 o ' 5 .37; 326.70 to 326.785; 327.10 to 327.131; and 327.14 to 327.28
<br />224.16 and all rules, orders, stipulation agreements, settlements, compliance agreements, licenses,
<br />224.17 registrations, certificates, and permits adopted or issued by the department or under any
<br />224.18 other law now in force or later enacted for the preservation of public health may, in addition
<br />224.19 to provisions in other statutes, be enforced under this section.
<br />224.20 EFFECTIVE DATE. This section is effective January 1, 2024.
<br />224.21 Sec. 10. Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 144A.4791, subdivision 14, is amended to read:
<br />224.22 Subd. 14. Application of other law. Home care providers may exercise the authority
<br />224.23 and are subject to the protections in section 152.34342.51, subdivision 2.
<br />224.24 Sec. 11. Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 175.45, subdivision 1, is amended to read:
<br />224.25 Subdivision 1. Duties; goal. The commissioner of labor and industry shall convene
<br />224.26 industry representatives, identify occupational competency standards, and provide technical
<br />224.27 assistance to develop dual -training programs. The competency standards shall be identified
<br />224.28 for employment in occupations in advanced manufacturing, health care services, information
<br />224.29 technology, agriculture, and the legal cannabis industry. Competency standards are not
<br />224.30 rules and are exempt from the rulemaking provisions of chapter 14, and the provisions in
<br />224.31 section 14.386 concerning exempt rules do not apply.
