Points <br /> <br />0 to 6* <br /> <br />0 to 5* <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />New Modest-Cost Housin9 Achievements - <br />Municipalities are awarded points uFon <br />verification of new modest-cost housing unlts <br />rented or homesteaded within their <br />jurisdiction for the first time durln9 the <br />previous calendar year. Points will not be <br />awarded for rental units converted to <br />ownership units, points will be awarded ~or <br />the city's regional fair share new modest- <br />cost private market housing achievement, <br />according to the following percentages: <br /> <br />'10+ percent - 6 points <br /> 6-9 percent - 4 points <br /> 3-5 percent - 2 points <br /> 0-2 percent - 0 points <br /> <br />The Council will adjust the-unit malue'and · <br />rent. limit for modest-cost housing annually. <br />based upon HUD determined %ncome categories <br />for the SMSA. The-number of modest-cost units <br />which exceeds ten percent of a municipality's <br />fair share goal may be carried over and <br />counted toward the next year's achievement. <br /> <br />Alternative Housing Types - <br />Municipalities are ranked according to the <br />percentage of their totalnew hOuslng unit or <br />occupancy permits issued in the previous <br />calendar year.~or dwel±ln9 units other than <br />traditional, detached single-family homes, <br />such as all forms of attached~housing, mobile <br />homes or zero-lot line units. The <br />municipality must have permitted at least five <br />new units or a number which represents five <br />percent of its forecasted household growth <br />through 1990 according to Development <br />Framework forecasts. <br /> <br />Housin? For Special Needs - <br />Municipalities are awarded two points if: <br />1) within their jurisdiction, federal, state, <br />county or local funds or those of a non-profit <br />organization have been used to purchase and <br />operate residential units to provide licensed <br />housing for temporary residents on an <br />emergency basis, or for the placement of adult <br />'offenders or adjudicated delinquents; or 2) a <br />publicly subsidized or non-profit group home <br />licensed by the Department of Health or <br />Department of Public Welfare which provides <br />temporary or permanent housing for the <br />physically handicapped, mentally ill, mentally <br />retarded or chemically dependent is located <br />in the community. <br /> <br /> <br />
