Points <br /> <br />0 to 6' <br /> <br />0 to5* <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />New Modest-Cost Housing Achievements - <br />Municipalities are awarded points uwon <br />verification of new modest-cost housing units <br />rented or homesteaded within their <br />Jurisdiction for the first time during the <br />previous calendar year. Points will not be <br />awarded when rental units given points in <br />previous criteria are converted to ownership <br />units. Points will be awarded for the city's <br />regional fair share new modest-cost private <br />market housing achievement according to the <br />following percentages: <br /> <br /> 10+ percent - 6 points <br /> 6-9 percent - ~ points <br /> 3-5 percent - 2 points <br /> 0-2 percent - 0 points <br />The Council will adjust the unit value and <br />rent limit for modest-cost housing annually <br />based on HUD-determined income categories <br />for the SMSA· The number of modest-cost units <br />produced in a single year which exceeds ten <br />percent of a municipality's fair share goal <br />may be carried over and counted toward the <br />next yeaP's achievement. <br /> <br />Alternative Housing Types - <br />Municipalities are ranked according to the <br />percentage of their total new housing unit or <br />occupancy permits issued in the previous <br />calendar year for dwelling units other than <br />traditional, detached single-family homes, <br />such as all forms of attached housing, mobile <br />homes or zero-lot line units. The <br />municipality must have permitted at least five <br />new units or a number which represents five <br />percent (at least five units) of its <br />forecasted household growth through 1990 <br />according to Development Framework forecasts.** <br /> <br />Housing For Special Needs - <br />Municipalities are awarded two points if <br />within their Jurisdiction: (%) federal, state, <br />county or local funds or those of a non-profit <br />organization have been used to purchase and <br />operate residential units to provide licensed <br />housing for temporary residents on an <br />emergency basis, or for the placement of adult <br />offenders or adjudicated delinquents; or 2) a <br />publicly subsidized or non-profit group home <br />licensed by the Department of Health or <br />Department of Public Welfare which <br />provides temporary or permanent housing 'for <br />the physically handicapped, mentally ill, <br />mentally retarded or chemically dependent is <br />located in the community. <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br /> <br />
