September, 1981, -- Open public m~etings of the C~uJ~ssion will be held <br />to determine a recu~,~nded ranking of applicants. Cable c~anies give <br />brief presentations and respond to questions from city council, <br />Cu~,~ssion members, and consultant (s). <br />Fall, 1981 -- Cu,,L%ission selects successful applicant and <br />forwards applicant's proposal and preliminary franchise to consultant <br />for the development of the final franchise to be forwarded to the city <br />councils for their adoption through the cities' regular ordinance <br />proCedure. <br /> Fall, 1981 -- Formal ordinance processes begin in individual cities <br /> with publication of notices, etc. <br /> <br />D. FILING OF APPLICATION <br /> Forty (40) copies of each applicant's proposal shall be s ,u,txnitted <br /> (sealed) with the caption "Cable CoNmlnications Proposal" addressed to: <br /> <br /> Anoka/Champlin/Ramsey Cable Co~mnission <br /> c/o City of Champlin <br /> 12001 Highway 52 <br /> Champlin, MN 55316 <br /> Proposals nust be notarized (may be filed in person or by registered mail) <br /> and will be accepted at the Champlin city Hall until 2:00 p.m., July 22, <br /> 1981, at which time all proposals will be opened. The C~,~-ission reserves <br /> theright to exterzl the deadline to all applicants, if necessary. <br /> Each applicant shall sut~it with its proposal a filing fee in the <br /> amount of $6,000. The purpose of the filing fee is to offset expenses <br /> incurred by the cities and the C~,,.~ssion in the evaluation of the proposals. <br /> P~fur~s to individual applicants of the filing fee not used in the evaluatic~ <br /> of specific proposals may be made to unsuccessful applicants at the option of the <br /> C~Lu,~ssion. The successful applicant will be required to reimburse the cities ar~ <br /> C~,'~'.~ssion on a monthly basis for the remainder of the expenses incurred in the <br /> franchising proCess which are not covered by the filing fees, until such time <br /> as the cities begin collection of the franChise fee as defined in the franchise. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br /> <br />
