PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
CITY OF RAMSEY
ANOKA COUNTY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
Public Hearing:
Members Present:
Also Present:
0
Members Absent:
7:50, Rezoning from residential to B -1
Business Case of Mr. Edward Klemish
Mr. Kenneth Peterson, Chairman
Mr. Benjamin Deemer
Mr. Arthur Dunn
Mr. Gerald Zimmerman
Mr. Ronald West (late)
City Building Official Berg
Mr. Harry Ellis
Ms. Kathy Schneider
Mr. Klemish came before the Commission seeking rezoning
from R -1 residential to B -1 Business on a lot just west
of Quicksilver Street and north of 167th Avenue N.W.
He indicated he would like to have a beauty shop and office
area there.
r 1
U
Citizen Robert Gfroerer, 16810 Quicksilver, addressed the
Commission and stated the address on the Application for
Consideration of Zoning Request for the subject property
is incorrect and confusing. He also stated one business
on that street is enough. The children catch the bus
there and the traffic from an additional business could
be a problem. He stated he would prefer to see 167th
extended to the east for commercial purposes.
Mr. Klemish stated the traffic is minimal at the cabinet
shop and his business would not increase traffic to
become a problem. Also it would be at the end of the
street.
Mr. Gfroerer stated this would be the loss of one more
residential lot and was not in favor of it.
There were no further comments and the public hearing
was closed at 8:00 P.M.
Res ctfullyy submitted,
CE =a.uC/
n Clark,
Recording Secretary
for the City of Ramsey
Planning and Zoning Commission
P &Z/'April 7, 1981
1
