Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION # <br />AUTHORIZATION TO HIRE A <br />PART-TIME POLICE TECHNICIAN <br />WHEREAS, the City's former part-time Police Technician resigned from her <br />position in March, 2012; and <br />WHEREAS, on June 12, 2012 the City Council authorized staff to begin the <br />recruitment process to fill the vacant part-time Police Technician position; <br />WHEREAS, a recruitment process was conducted and 80 applications were received <br />and six applicants were interviewed. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, <br />Confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to do the following: <br />Hire as the City's new part-time Police Technician, effective August 29, 2012, <br />at step one of the wage scale, which is $17.57 per hour. All personnel polices will apply <br />normally. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member, , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 28th day of August 2012. <br />
