I also found that the pH has been
consistently lower than the other wells and the recommended drinking water standard.
This would indicate that the water from well 6 is corrosive.
In discussing this matter with Tom Clark from MPCA, he agreed 'that something was
iregular at well 6 and agreed with me that additional testing should be done.
I also discussed this situation with Bob Hutchinson at Anoka County and he told me
that the data from well no. 6 is not accurate, since it is only a temporary well.
The well was installed with a hand auger to a depth of eight feet and was put in
on a temporary basis to check the nitrate and chloride levels in'well no. 5. The
permanent well will be installed as part of the license renewal requirem6nts after
July 1, 1981. He also said that Waste Management was authorized to test well no. 6
in place of well no. 5.
£
I will be present at your June 23, 1981 meeting to answer any further questions
in regard to well no. 6.

Yours truly~
CONSULTING ENGINEERS DIVERSIFIED, INC..

Peter R.
