He is in favor of the project, however, <br />he wo~uld like to know where the'centerline will be and where the road <br />will go as there is some discrepancy as to the present centerline. <br />Mayor Gamec stated the City could look at going ahead and havlng <br />it staked out so you know hwere the road is, and table or adjourn <br />this hearing until the road is staked and continue with the proposal <br />at that tine. <br />Resident Jerry Nyberg, Bowers Drive, asked if the project could be <br />done by 1st additi°n only if the2nd and 3rd didn't want it and <br />also l0 years from now if resurfacing is necessary would the residents <br />be reassessed for it. Mayor Gamec stated the City is looking at <br />sealcoating and the cost would probably go back to those people. <br />Resident asked what restoration included. City Engineer stated <br />seeding along shoulders along road. <br /> Building Official Berg asked what is effect on green acres. Mayor <br /> Gamec stated he didn't know. CounciLman Sorteberg stated it is <br /> deferred until you sell. <br /> Resident Gary Miller stated other alternatives should be studied. <br /> Mayor Gamec stated the City has considered alternatives and has <br /> to stick with its policy. Small.rock or oiling come the closest~ <br /> however, small rock gets rippley. <br /> Resident Gary Lien, Bowers Drive, asked about alternatives for the <br /> Mississippi area spending $46,000 for storm sewer and if some other <br /> drainage could be provided that would appeal to the majority. Mayor <br /> Gamec stated inthe past this was not adequate and the City would <br /> stick to the recommendations of the City Engineer. <br /> Councilman Cox asked the City Engineer if he physically viewed the project. <br /> City Engineer Raatikka replied yes. Councilman Cox asked~if some <br /> residents were lower away from the riverside. City Engineer didn't <br /> recall. Councilman Cox inquired if there would be a b~rmhole area. <br /> City Engineer stated yes in Mississippi Acres. Councilman Cox <br /> stated there would be problems in concentrated area with only <br /> 5' ditche. City Engineer stated they would be leaving grade <br /> of road. Councilman Cox inquired in lower areas would the road hold <br /> up. City Engineer stated withere would be a pipe and catch basin. <br /> Resident Pittman stated he has seen water over the road from the river <br /> and didn't think a storm sewer could be put in going to the river. <br /> He also stated the City should find out where the center of the road <br /> would be. <br /> Mayor Gamec at this tine asked for a vote from the citizens, one f~om <br /> each household on Bowers Drive. 1.
