Councilme. mber Van Wagner introduced the following resolution and <br />~ved for ars adoption: <br /> <br /> RESGLUTION ~84-217 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING A GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE FOR DISCRIMINATION IN <br />ANY CITY PR~ OR SERVICES . <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Revenue Sharing Guidelines require, that all <br /> governmental entities receiving more than $25,000 an Revenue <br /> Sharing Funds m.us.t adopt.a grievance procedure for residents <br /> claiming that discram~nation exasts; and . <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Revenue Sharing Gumdelines require that such <br /> grievance procedure be adopted before October 17, 1984. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF <br /> RAMSEY, AN(N{A CU3NTY, STATE ~F MINNESOTA, as follows: . <br /> <br /> 1) That any person claiming discramination against <br /> handicapped individuals must follow the grievance procedure <br /> below: . <br /> <br /> a) .Submat a lett?r.to the Ramsey Municmpal Center <br /> (Caty ]~all) outlan~ng the complaint and requested <br /> action. . . <br /> <br /> b). The Cmty Councal will review all complaints <br /> w~thin 45 days a~d take action .on the complaint. <br /> c) Tha.t .the Caty S taf f w.~ 1 1 notify the <br /> complaanang party of the actaon taken by City <br /> Council. . <br /> <br /> 2) That any person not satisfied with the action by <br /> Council may request a direct appearance before Council to discuss <br /> the matter. . . . <br /> The motion for the .adoptaon of .the foregoang resolutaon was duly <br /> seconded by Councmlmember Reamann and upon vote being taken <br /> thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Gamec,. Councilmembers Van Wagner, Sorteberg, <br /> Schlueter and Rea .ma~. <br /> and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None. . <br /> whereupon said resolut.~on was declared duly passed and adopted by <br /> the P~sey City Council this the 23rd day of Octd~er, 1984. <br /> <br /> <br />
