Voting yes <br />Voting no <br /> <br />MAMA JOINT COMPENSATION STuT)Y REGARDING COMP~RARL~. WOR~: <br /> <br />~he comparable worth law was passed during the past 1984 legislative <br />session. We have to be in oompliance with it by October 1, 1985. ~he <br />purpose of this law is to ensure that employees are paid comparable <br />pay for comparable jobs. <br /> <br />Accordingly, the Metro cities have decided to hire an outside consul- <br />tant to do the task of evaluating the jobs in regards to the law. <br />Enclosure (D3-c) contains a copy of the bid proposal form which ex- <br />plains what the consultant will be doing in regards to the subject <br />study. Also contained in this enclosure is a proposed resolution for <br />your consideration. <br /> <br />It is my reconmendation to the Council that we participate in this <br />study, as we don't have the in-house capabilities to do this job nor <br />do we have the time. Our proportionate share of the cost of this <br />could be beb~een $3,000 and $5,000. <br /> <br />~: Your action will be to approve/disapprove of par- <br />ticipating with the Metro cities on the cost of this study.
