Council Member <br /> <br /> introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION It <br /> <br />CONSIDER AUTHORIZATION TO HIRE A <br /> PARKS MAINTENANCE WORKER <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, as part of the 2006 budget, the City Council authorized the creation <br />of a new Streets Maintenance Worker position which was filled internally by a Parks <br />Maintenance Worker, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a recruitment process was conducted to fill the Parks Maintenance <br />Worker position; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff has requested authorization to hire a Parks Maintenance <br />Worker at an hourly rate of $17.01 and a recruitment process was conducted to fill the <br />Parks Maintenance Worker position. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, <br /> <br />Confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to do the following: <br /> <br />1. Grant authorization to staffto hire a Parks Maintenance Worker at $17.01 per <br /> hour with a start date of April 24, 2006. <br /> <br />Grant staff authorization to bring forward the name of the selected Parks <br />Maintenance Worker candidate to a future City Council meeting for ratification <br />pending receipt of satisfactory pre-employment physical and drug test results. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member, , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 11t~ day of April, 2006. <br /> <br />-264- <br /> <br /> <br />
