He stated that once something is set up, there <br />was a lot of interest and it would be easier to find a speaker. <br /> <br />Board Member Freeburg stated that he spoke with Dave Zentner and he was available but he <br />wasn't official and recommended BWSR. Board Member Hustvedt stated that there were a few <br />people at Izaak Walton League who could speak because that's part of what their assignment is, <br />to work with local communities. <br /> <br />Chairperson McDilda stated that a booth with a large blown up preliminary map for <br />classifications of wetlands, an explanation of what the process is going to be for ratification and <br />a FAQ list, and a sign up sheet for people interested in the round table to initiate things by taking <br />names, and then follow up on logistics to make it happen. <br /> <br />Board Member Max stated that the round table should be part of the Goals and Objectives as a <br />community workshop. Coordinator Anderson asked if the EPB would be asking for specific <br />topics or asking for the public's input in a particular round table topic. Chairperson McDilda <br />stated that he would be looking for input on topics and make it so it is unassuming to people. <br /> <br />Board Member Max suggested a theme of "The Environment, It's Where You Live" for the <br />Expo. Chairperson McDilda asked for consensus from the Board. All members concurred with <br />using the theme. <br /> <br />Chairperson McDilda reminded the EPB members the Expo is scheduled for April 29th. He stated <br />that he will make a large copy of the map and make banners. He asked EPB members to come to <br />the next meeting with FAQ's and answers about wetlands. <br /> <br />Case #3: Update on Tree Inventory in Multiple, Ungraded 20-Year old Subdivisions <br /> <br />Chairperson McDilda asked Environmental Specialist Bacon to brief the EPB members on <br />Exhibit 1, City of Ramsey: 2003-2005 ReLeafProposal, which outlines specific areas to be <br />inventoried. <br /> <br />Environmental Specialist Bacon briefed the EPB members on the grant project that should take <br />place in the spring, using the funding of $4,500. He stated that when he wrote the proposal, he <br />put in for an inventory two years ago. He stated that the sites are ungraded and older <br />subdivisions. <br /> <br />Environmental Specialist Bacon stated he chose four different kinds of prior uses for a sample. <br />He stated that Sorteberg Addition was an open field so trees them were part of a fence line or <br />volunteer trees. He noted that Golden Eagle Estates was a pasture with remnant oak woods and <br />edges around it and a couple of wetlands. He stated that Shady Lawn Estates was a 40-acre oak <br />woods. He noted Northfork PUD on the west side of Ramsey which is mixed with open space, <br />wetlands, and highland remnant bur oaks. <br /> <br />He stated that he achieved the inventory of cemeteries a couple of years ago, so that was added <br />to the proposal.
