FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES - Partial Demolition / Temporary <br /> Renovation of Existing City Hall <br /> <br />Dear Mrs. Nelson: <br /> <br />We are pleased to submit our proposal for services for the temporary renovation of the <br />existing City Hail facility. We understand the goal of this effort co be appropriate <br />modifications as necessary to accommodate effective Fire Department occupation of the <br />existing City Hall facility for up to seven years following the completion of ~he new Municipal <br />Center. In addition to renovation work, this effor~ may include partial building demolition of <br />unused pardons of the existing City Hall and Police buildings. <br /> <br />BKV Group is proposing to provide furl architectural, interior design, structural mechanical <br />and electric~ engineering services. We are proposing to provide initial <br />"programming" and design services to ~ssi;:t the City of P, amsey in determining the <br />appropriate scope of renovation ! demolition work to be executed. The proposed project <br />~pproach ii ~s follows: <br /> <br />Programming / Concept~ Design <br />The intention of ?.he Programming/Concept Design effort will be to determine the shon:~ <br />range needs of the Fire Department which must be me~, or improved, for appropriate Fire <br />Department functioning over the anticipated seven year temporary occupancy of the existing <br />City Hall. Additionally. this effort will explore the work scope appropriate to meet these <br />needs while pardal¥ preparing the site for Future re-development. A detailed breakdown of <br />the proposed Ptan and Image Concept / Investor Package services follows: <br /> <br /> I. Meet. w/th Fire Department and City Administration senior staff' to identify project goals · <br /> and parameters. <br /> Develop a space program for the Temporary Fire Statfon to guide City Hail space re-use <br /> / renovation. <br />3. Develop preliminary Renovat{on / Demolition pian concepts (up to three) <br />4. Review preliminary Renovt~tion ! Der~olition plan concepts with Fire Department and <br /> City Administration senior staff <br />$. Refine selected prellminary Renovation / Demolition concept <br />6. Develop opinion of p. robable proiecc costs based on refined Renovation / Demofition <br /> concept <br />7. Develop project documentation and construction/demolition schedule <br />8. Review final preliminary Renovation/.Demolition'concept~ budget, and schedule with <br /> C~t,/leadership (sen[or staff and/or City Council as directed) <br /> <br />Design Finalization / Construction Documentation I Construction ' <br />Administration <br />Following the completion of the Programming / Concept Design phase, BKV Group will <br />develop a detailed project scope for the completion of the final design, Construction <br />Documentation, and Construction Administration services. <br /> <br />Potential Additional Services <br /> <br />-363- <br /> <br /> <br />
