He indicated that the City Council started looking at how they could develop <br />now so they would not have to deal with redevelopment later. <br /> <br />Mr. Sigler stated that people move out here because they want elbowroom; they do not want <br />people twenty feet away. He indicated that people will get hostile being that close to each other <br />and dealing with that k/nd of traffic. He stated that if this development was proposing one acre <br />lots, they would not have a lot of argument. He indicated that he wants to start developing <br />houses, noting that the developers must love Ramsey. <br /> <br />Vice Chairperson Johnson stated that the neighbors need to make these arguments to the City <br />Council. <br /> <br />Mr. Sigler asked if they could ask for a delay or bring a petition to the City or something. <br /> <br />Vice Chairperson Johnson indicated that the Planning Commission has to work with the cluster <br />ordinance for this development, and has to proceed as such. He stated that the Planning <br />Commission's limitation is to advise the City Council on how this development falls within the <br />current ordinance. <br /> <br />Mr. Sigler asked why the City bothers to invite the neighbom to this meeting if there is nothing <br />that can be changed. <br /> <br />Vice Chairperson Johnson advised that often there are changes that can be done to configuration, <br />transition screening, etc., so getting input from the neighbors can be helpful. <br /> <br />Mr. Sigler asked when the City Council would hear this case. <br /> <br />Vice Chairperson Johnson indicated that residents can talk with them at anytime, and encouraged <br />them to call up the Council Members, noting that the Council meeting is not a public hearing. <br /> <br />Lee Kreager, 17221 Tiger Street, stated he was home most of the summer, and walked down <br />Tiger Street several times a day. He indicated that it used to be 55 mph on Tiger Street, but has <br />now changed to 30 mph, even though no one drives that speed. He stated that what he thinks <br />should be done is to have a four-way stop put in for the safety of the people. He indicated that <br />his biggest concern is if someone has to get hit before something is done with the traffic. He <br />stated that it seems like Tiger Street is just a shortcut from Armstrong to 63, adding it is the same <br />problem on Armstrong. <br /> <br />Sue Ellen Peterson, 16780 Andre St., stated she moved here from St. Louis Park because she <br />wanted to live in the country. She indicated she does not want to live in St. Louis Park, or she <br />would go back there.
