The Cc~mission proceeded to review and amend the proposed I/ridings of fact as ~ollows: Item #1 - Change '...has properly applied...' to '...has applied... '. It~n #9 - Change to read as follows: 'That the Applicant is proposing to keep the bears in a 35' x 45' enclosure with 8'6" walls (inside measurement) consisting of three poured concrete block walls and one chain link fence wall.' Item ~10 - Change to read as follows: 'That the structure s~eciIied in Item #9 is located approximately 27 feet frem the side yard line on the north side and approximately 83 feet from the rear yard line.' Item #14 - Change 'That the Applicant had at least one black bear...' to 'That the Applicant had two black bears...' Motion by Cu~u,.{ssioner Sh~rway and seconded by Cu~u,~ssioner Howell to add the ~ollow~ng to the proposed findings of fact: Item #21. That not all people in the affected area are opposed to t~e keeping of the bears. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Hendriksen, LaDue, Howell and Sht~way. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Eolm and Terry. Notion by Commissioner Hendriksen and seconded by Commissioner Shumway to add the ~ollowing to the proposed findings of fact: Item #22. That the block structure referred to in Item #9 and the improvements to the existing foundation were created prior to the implenentation of City Code Section 110.18. Motion carrie(~. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Co~ssioners Hendriksen, Howell, T~Due and ShuTway. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Holm and Terry. Motion by Co~,u~,]ssioner Howell and seconded by Chairman Zimmerman to add the following to the proposed findings of fact: Item #23. That the Applicant has taken steps to render the animals harmless by declawing, neutering and removing the canine teeth from the male bear and removing the front claws from the ~_le bear. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Co~,~issioners Hendriksen, TmDue, Howell and Shumway. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Holm and Terry. Motion Dy Commissioner Shumway and seconded by Commissioner Howell to recommend that City Council adopt the findings of fact, as amended, relating to Mr. Tom Guyer's request for a wild animal license.
